I am a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly known as Medical Technologist) with the American Society for Clinical Pathology. I have been working in my hospital laboratory's clinical chemistry section for 3 wonderful years since finishing my bachelors degree. I assist with correlation studies, linearities, and new method validations. Currently, I am cross-training in hematology.
I am planning on taking my Specialist in Chemistry exam by the end of 2011. My next step will be to enroll in a distance Masters program for Clinical Laboratory Science. My ultimate goal is to earn a doctorate in Epidemiology or Clinical Laboratory Science and secure a job with a state or federal health agency.
